Dennis Martínez honored by CANATUR
One of the most glorious Nicaraguan sportsmen, Dennis Martínez, has been named member of honor by the national chamber of tourism in Nicaragua (CANATUR).
Dennis Martínes was a player in the North-American baseball leagues. He had a successful career as pitches in the great leagues during of the 80s and the 90s. He stood out because he was the first Latin-American player to play a perfect match (which means there was not a single hit), in July 1991, and at this moment he is still the Latin American pitcher who has won the most games.
The reason of the acknowledgement of Martínez by CANATUR is his recent activity in the tourism branch, through his recently opened hotel and restaurant La Mar Lake Resort, located on the shores of the Cocibolca Lake in the department of Rivas.
