Simple, rustic cabanas equipped with spring beds, mosquito nets and solar panel offer an opportunity to explore the remote northwest corner of Nicaragua. The hotel is managed by people from the local communities, and although not luxurious you can truly enjoy the natural setting and discover the Cosigüina Volcano and other natural beauties hidden in this isthmus.

The hotel also offers a package which already includes trips to the Cosigüina Volcano (transport and guide), a boat ride to the Islotes de Cosigüina and a hike through the wetlands. Breakfast, lunch, and dinner can also be served.

Getting there

From Chinandega take the road to El Viejo-Potosi, when you reach the village El Congo (about 35 km) go along the unpaved road for 18 km. After turning to Potosi, drive 15 minutes further to reach the RAMSAR Lodge.
