My wife and I just got back from Nicaragua. We stayed at the Hotel Cocibolca. We had a great time. The Hotel Administrator Carlos, helped us tremendously. He gave us tips on where to eat and what to visit. The staff, Ramon S., Karla G., Karla S., Karla M., and Raquel R. the Cook went out of thier way to please us. They treated us with the greatest respect. The breakfast was great. The room was cleaned everyday, towels changed, shower cleaned and beds made daily. We had hot water in the shower and Cold Tona's in the Patio. We are already making plans to return. For all of you who have hads bad expieriances, all I can say is, treat people the way you want to be treated and life will go on with no issues.

The Goddamn link on the Hotel Colcibolca web page doesn't work.

Hotel Colcibolca would get more customers if the email address worked.

Yahoo says the hotel is not a member - a third party sends email to the hotel. This is not the way it should be.
Even though I shall stay there for months. Hotel email should go directly to the hotel. All the staff should have an email address of their on at this hotel.

The hotel web site needs to be updated and the links should be checked to see they are working. Other than that, the hotel is first rate but it is difficult to communicate via email - I shall live out my life in Nicaragua spending time at the hotel where they have the best staff in Granada.

    1) We were overcharged for the room. A matrimonial is advertised as $34. We paid cash and were charged $42. We were told it was because we had a/c??
    2) The room was the size of a postage stamp. It was so small that the dresser drawer could not open totally.
    3) There was a horrible sewer smell which eminated from the bathroom area.
    4) There was no privacy for a couple.....
    5) The breakfasts were very good and the staff was friendly and accommodating.

The website does not seem to be working. Is the hotel still open?

    Thanks.

I'm having a hard time getting ahold of this hotel by email? Is the address correct? Is contact by phone better?

    Thanks!

I stayed at Hotel Cocibolca during our trip to Granada in December 2007.
It was a great experience. Clean and confortable rooms. Great Staff. GOOD SERVICE.
I WILL STAY THERE MANY TIMES OVER. IN FACT, ON MY WAY BACK HOME I HAVE RECOMENDED IT TO A COUPLE FROM THE STATES WHO VISIT NICARAGUA QUITE REGULARLY.
KEEP THE GREAT JOB HOTEL COCIBOLCA MANAGEMENT

My family and I stayed at Hotel Cocibolca in July of 2006. We loved every minute of our stay. The staff was friendly and helpful, rooms were impeccable and the breakfast/snacks/beverages were good. One evening they ran out of coronas and one of the staff members went out to get some for us. I would recommend this hotel to anyone, especially Americans, and will be returning later this year.

You are the only person who has complained the services, the owner and the personnel of the Hotel cocibolca and of the Lodging. I believe that what vos tenes is a personal problem. That queres that the foreigners do not stay themselves in our hotel, I think that vos tenes envies or jealousy, because all the sweepings that decis is pure lie. At no moment the OWNER has expressed itself badly of the foreign tourists, so that the objective of is to offer a good service to the tourists in general. Thanks to God come much people and your bad intention does not have neither discredited to places. I invite to you to return so that DES tells you of the good service and the friendly thing that are the personnel.

I stayed at Hotel Cocibolca on January 11, 2007. I was told for 1 night I had to pay cash which was $35. I held the room with my visa number. Since I only stayed one night I was told I had to pay cash. For some reason you charged my Visa aprox. $88. I phoned your hotel twice this week and spoke to carlos. He claimed that this was the hotels error and that they would credit our Visa account. We will also be notifying our Visa company and letting them know. We wanted to stay with you in March but we want a credit until then. Please email us and let us know the outcome. We will be printing this for our records. Thanks, Mike Labadie
