The Hotel Victoria is like going to your favorite aunt's place in the country. Julia, Nena and the staff greet you and care for you like family.
The place is shiny clean and the meals are memorable. Try the huge local river shrimp.
I have been there with groups of fisherman for the tarpon tournament and with my wife and sister so that they could enjoy El Castillo and the Rio San Juan scenery.
I can't wait to go back. s/ martin

Great place. My fav in Castillo. Also like Úniversal´for something more lo-buck. Victoria has private bathrooms, Universal is shared, very very basic with a nice balsony and a million dollar view out of some of the rooms. Beautiful to wake up to the mist on el rio in the morning. It´s all kinda good, though, wherever you stay there.

I had an excellent time in this hotel. Two sisters, Doña Nena and Doña Julia, run it and give an awesome, personal service. They make you feel right at home. Plus, the hotel is beautiful. By far the best place in town. Enjoy your time there! I sure did.
