This beautiful, large colonial house is able to host up to 28 guests, with both shared dormitories and private rooms available. The matrimonial suites, complete with double bed, closet, desk and fan, are US$23 per night, or only US$150 per week. Shared accommodation, consisting of a single bed, locker and fan in a dormitory, is US$11.50 per night or only US$77 per week. All prices include tax as well as a delicious home cooked breakfast.

In addition to providing luxury amenities at backpacker’s hostel prices, La Casa Linda is also home to Basecamp International Centers, a Canadian organization which provides volunteer services to various projects in Nicaragua. Many young North-Americans are involved with Basecamp, and they often live at La Casa Linda for the duration of their Social Work, Teaching, Building, Conservation, or Health and Medical volunteer placements. Basecamp also offers Spanish Classes, and Adventure Travel Opportunities. Even if you don’t stay at La Casa Linda, a trip to Jinotepe is worth it simply to see what Basecamp has to offer.
