Friends who had earlier stayed here brought us and it is even more interesting than they had told us. It's exotic, but down-to-earth. The "cabins" are very lovely. with eco-friendly toilets such as we had never encountered before . The hosts are gracious and provided so much information about their agricultural projects on the property. Wish we could have stayed a few more days. Private, good food, uinbelievable butterflies. A place of dreams not to be missed.

Cozy, calm, and unique setting on an organic farm with great hosts--ready to share a meal with you (optional) and help you navigate the whole island from the beach to the Volcano! They even helped us plan the rest of our Nicaragua vacation in Grenada and elsewhere. Eco-tourism was never so comfortable!

We visited Finca del Sol in June 2009 and stayed in the cabana El Sol for two nights. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the farm -- incredibly welcoming and friendly hosts, comfortable accommodations, stunning views of the volcanoes, and the best food of our trip hands down. We highly recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a unique and unforgettable travel experience!

I visited Finca del Sol in March, 2009 just after the cabana had been finished. Not only is the cabana a beautiful, spacious eco-lodge, it is also situated on a slope with a stunning view of the other volcano. You feel as if you are alone, while at the same time lots of great stuff to do is very near. There are a few great close restaurants, lots of good hiking, great kayaking, horse-back riding and the beach. The owners of Finca del Sol are wonderful and never tired when we asked endless questions about their Finca, animals and natural building methods. It's a unique and beautiful place to relax, meditate, hike, have adventures, be lazy, learn about ecological building, enjoy a quite vacation. I would go back there anytime!
