Description
Hotel Charco Verde is located inside a natural reserve, in front of one of the most beautiful beaches of Ometepe Island. It is situated off the main road, in front of the lake, at a semi-private beach.
In the reserve, which carries the same name, there is a hill, a lagoon, and a small forest. From the hotel visitors can hike up the hill to the famous ‘Devil’s Viewpoint’ (Mirador del Diablo). Another options is to hike around the lagoon where mangrove trees and other tropical vegetation can be found, as well as many birds and several howler monkey families.
Sunbathing and relaxing at the beach are also among the options. Kayaks are available at the hotel, and there is wireless internet and laundry service. Food is served in the hotel's restaurant and for events there is a conference room for up to 80 people.

Many thanks to the staff for your competence and good cheer. My brother and I spent two days with you in Sept., 09 at the end of a two week trip in Nicaragua and agreed this spot was the highlight of our time in the country. Among many other attractions, food included, a standout was the view of Volcan Conception from a kayak. That along with fine swimming, comfortable quarters, beautiful flora, and the hiking trails made this a place I'd return to in a second.
Sincerely yours,

These guys are great, you can be in the water 15 steps from your door or from the restaurant. Fishermen just off shore, birds, monkeys - a great place.

Great place to relax or to be active (walking in the reserve, kayaking, swimming). Nice beach and good cabins. Recomendation would be to improve the food and the amplify the opening hours of the services which closes at 21.30 which seems a bit early. Great value, stayed only a couple of days unfortunately but will be back.

We spent longer than planned at this great spot. The service is very good as is the food, and the beach and reserve mean there is plenty to do. Will definitely return.

To Christian:
Thank you for our reservation Sunday and Monday January 8 and 9 for a cabin (matrimonial) with A/C.
On the telephone, I said January 9 and 10, but this was a mistake. It is January 8 and 9.
We will call you for transportation from San Jorge.
Muchas gracias por su ayuda.
Sincerely,
Sheila Riley
