I have recently visited Nicaragua and I for one thought it t'was truely aaaaa-mazing! :) even though there was gang violence, drive by shootings, and no life guards! It was worth the risk of my long and old life!!

My family and I stayed at the Alhambra for two weeks in May 2007. I can't say enough about the service and attention that this hotel offers their guest. I highly recommend this hotel for parents of teenagers. Allen was especially helpful. My family can't wait to return to Granada!!!

The people here were VERY kind - I was having trouble contacting my friend, and they let me use the front desk phone repeatedly to call my friend in Granada. The hotel was beautiful, and the cleaning staff was very honest, not taking anything from our rooms. (this is important in Nicaragua). I really love the central location of the hotel, it makes you feel like it is the most important building in the town - but still quite affordable. The pool was unfortunately being emptied when I was staying here, however. I hope that next time it will be filled up, because the weather here is HOT! :-) I recommend the Alhambra.

We spent one night at the Hotel Alhambra. It was a very pleasant stay. The hotel is absolutely beautiful and the staff spoke English. The only problem we had was when we were told we could make a phone call to Managua. The front desk dialed the number and handed me the phone. My room # was never asked for I and assumed the call was free. I was surprised when we checked out and had been charged $7.00 (US) for about a 5 minute phone call.
